Transitional Transformation

Bungalow Renovation Goal

As a Calgary Renovator, the objective of this bungalow renovation was to enhance the space, provide more light, add a dramatic sense of style and design and lose the honey oak appeal that has been so popular is years past. A beautiful transformation was in-store.

Major Tasks

A complete deconstruction and gut of the interior of the home was required.
Obtain all required building permits through the City Of Calgary.
An inspiring re-design of the entire interior of the home including the kitchen, bedrooms, dining and living room, bathrooms, and built-ins.

Outcome

This rewarding project was a lot of fun and exciting to work on. The fireplace cabinetry and railing were transformed from their golden oak and refinished eloquently in a darker more contemporary stain.

By moving some walls, this allowed more living room space and expanded some cabinetry storage. The home incorporated large, bright, triple pane windows which added ample natural light for this family. The kitchen was completely re-designed and ended up absolutely gorgeous, with bright white shaker style cabinetry. The upper cabinets added more storage space by going ceiling height and a new farmhouse sink added a nice balance of rural appeal.

The master ensuite featured a vanity with an abundance of drawer storage including a tower, designer tile and frameless shower glass. This home was truly an honor to work on and seeing the exhilaration on the home owners faces was awesome!
