Building On Existing Foundation In Highwood
This breathtaking home was built in the inner city neighborhood of Highwood Calgary, located in Calgary’s northwest.
The clients wanted to maintain and build on the existing foundation while expanding the footprint slightly. This always presents some technical challenges, but with our vast experience and knowledge, we made it work well, saving the clients some money in the process.
This home was awe inspiring, with several glorious design elements in mind. Establishing prominent curb appeal by displaying beautiful blues and bright cedar shakes helped create a presence in the community. The interior, with its clever use of window placement maximizing natural light and wonderful natural toned woods throughout, lent itself to an elegant feel.
Spacious rooms with generous and cleverly positioned lighting provided a bright mood. The focal point of the home, the kitchen, showcased grand maple ceiling beams stained in a dark colour to complement the bright white shaker style custom cabinetry and a maple butcher block island top. The ensuite and bathrooms utilized a combination of tile, contrasting maple cabinetry and premium shower/tub selections to achieve a warm and relaxing effect.
We were honored to complete another successful project and pass the keys on to these ecstatic new homeowners.
